BLS Provider (New): The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare providers caring for patients both in prehospital, and in-facility environments who are taking this course for the first time or have an expired American Heart Association BLS Certification card.

• This American Heart Association course is for health care professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card is valid for two years.
• Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
• The American Heart Association enforces a policy that each student must have a provider manual for class. If you are are a renewal participant and do not have a student manual, please purchase a provider manual, either hard-copy (15-1010) or electronic-copy (15-3102) from any of the AHA’s trusted product distributors.
